Bubble Game 3 is the standard shooter game where you try to clear the board. The game is set up in a similar way to Space Invaders. It starts with the bubbles filling a football field with nine rows, which is just over half the field. The main goal is to shoot the field of bubbles by shooting from a turret at the bottom of the screen one identical bullet bubble of a different color at a time.
If the bullet bubble hits a field bubble of the same color, both bubbles pop. If the bullet bubble hits a field bubble of the same color that is linked to another field bubble of the same color, the bubbles burst one after the other in a beautiful, fun-to-watch chain reaction. If the bubble hits a bubble that doesn't match it, nothing happens. Instead, the bullet bubble sticks to the field bubbles, making the number of bubbles bigger and making my problems with bubbles worse.
This game is fun because of the chain reaction: the more bubbles there are, the better. Since the main goal of this game is to keep shooting until all the bubbles are gone, any smart shot that starts a chain reaction is the best one. Also, when the game is over, the last bubbles pop in a very long chain reaction.
Even though this game has fun bubbles, it requires planning because, like Space Invaders, at the end of each cycle, the bubbles move forward row by row. Bubbles are used to measure a cycle. For example, at the start of the game, there are a series of five bubbles. If I shoot a bubble and it doesn't pop a field bubble, the cycle shortens to four. If I miss four more times, the cycle ends and more bubbles are added to the back row, bringing the whole field closer to my bullet bubble. If the bubbles hit the bullet bubble, the game is over for you.
